Angel, a Meningioma survivor, spent six years on WW, endured numerous contrast MRIs, worked with a neurologist, sought opinions from four neurosurgeons, and underwent a craniotomy in December 2018. Inspired by her challenges and triumphs, she launched BTC in 2020 determined to offer a safe, compassionate community with vital resources for others facing a brain tumor diagnosis.

As an experienced Patient Advocate and Executive Director in the medical field, Angel deeply understands the complexities of the healthcare system. Contact Brain Tumor Companion Angel today to learn more.

Why seek peer support? Living with a brain tumor means navigating ongoing monitoring and treatment, which can feel overwhelming at times. At Brain Tumor Companion (BTC), you’ll find a safe and supportive space to share your journey - whether you need to talk, cry, laugh, vent, express anger, or celebrate victories. This path isn’t easy; the ups and downs can feel like an emotional rollercoaster. But you are not alone.

BTC was born out of Angel’s own experience. After her craniotomy, she longed to connect with someone who truly understood. Social media can feel impersonal, and most therapists lack first-hand experience with brain tumors. Feeling isolated left Angel frustrated and scared of the unknowns. To bridge this gap, she created Brain Tumor Companion | Meningioma Companion. Since hosting the first Zoom meeting in 2020, Angel has remained dedicated to fostering a safe, supportive community for survivors.
